Horizon House Launches July Donation Drive: Tour de Pants

Indianapolis, IN – July 1, 2025 – Horizon House, Central Indiana’s trusted leader in providing integrated, comprehensive services to neighbors experiencing homelessness, is excited to announce its July donation drive, “Tour de Pants.”  As the cyclists race in the Tour de France, Horizon House is putting the pedal forward with purpose. This month-long initiative aims to collect new or gently used (clean) men’s and women’s jeans, cargo, carpenter, sweats, as well as belts to support those in need.

Why Pants?

Pants and belts are essential for individuals experiencing homelessness. These durable and versatile garments protect against weather, insects, pavement, grass and the overall environment depending on where one is sleeping, providing much-needed comfort and protection against the elements. Jeans and cargo pants are particularly useful for their longevity, ease of maintenance, and multiple pockets, which help individuals keep their belongings safe and accessible.

Join the Tour de Pants

As Senior Advancement Officer, Liz Boskovich put it, “As cyclists compete in the Tour de France, we hope that the community rallies in spirit to come together to help our most vulnerable neighbors.” Horizon House invites the community to join us in “Building the Foundations to End Homelessness” by participating in the Tour de Pants donation drive. Donations of gently used or new belts, jeans, cargo, carpenters and sweats can be dropped off Monday through Friday at Horizon House, located at 1033 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN, or mailed to the same address.
