Horizon House is currently collecting new undergarment donations at their service center.
INDIANAPOLIS- Horizon House is in constant need of underwear to support those experiencing homelessness. As Indianapolis prepares for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing later this month, Horizon House is working fast to help give back and will be accepting undergarment donations during the month of May.
“Undergarments are in high demand for our neighbors experiencing homelessness,” said Liz Boskovich, Senior Advancement Officer. “Because of this demand it is almost impossible to have too much. When our neighbors make a request for underwear, we don’t want to turn them away. We sometimes take for granted these everyday essentials. The need is great and we aim each day to serve our most vulnerable with dignity, respect and the basics of necessities.”
Undergarments as well as other donations will be collected throughout the month of May. The designated ‘pit-stop’ location is Horizon House, located at 1033 East Washington Street. If you would like to donate but are unable to make it Horizon House, you can find underwear and much more on Horizon House’s wishlist.
